Where learning and discovery
are nurtured by nature

A natural, nurturing early learning environment where tamariki (children) can explore, discover and grow at their own pace.

ABOUT US

Welcome to Nature’s Nest

Nature’s Nest is a nurturing, nature-rich early learning centre grounded in respect, relationships, and a strong sense of belonging.

Here, tamariki learn through play, explore, and build meaningful connections with trusted, responsive kaiako. We embrace each tamariki’s unique identity, culture, and background, creating a place where all tamariki feel seen, valued, and supported.

Our beautiful natural environment and attachment-based approach help each tamariki develop confidence, curiosity, and a genuine love for learning.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

“Guided by taiao (nature) and grounded in whanaungatanga (relationships), we center our teaching on aroha (love), respect, kaitiakitanga (guardianship), and an unhurried, child-led approach to learning that embraces each of our tamariki and their unique identity.”

“We absolutely love the Matai room. Dropping our little ones off is so easy because the genuine love and care you show is felt the moment we walk through the door. You ladies do an amazing job, and we are so thankful for each of you.”

“I'm feeling so grateful to have my Julia with you 4 days a week. You truly embody what you describe. You've created a real Nest for our babies, and we love that. Thank you for your huge kindness and professionalism.”

“The absolute BEST two ladies who create, live and breathe the BEST centre! You not only provide an amazing place to care for our children but you also become part of the family with your kindness and compassion, and always a good laugh thrown in! It's been a long time since my kids were at Natures but they still remember it fondly and I still treasure and respect how you helped me get through those early years of parenting. I have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone looking for a wonderful place to send their kids.”

“Thank you all so very much for all the care and support you have all shown us over the last 5 years, from Ethan's start in Totara room and Aria's in Matai. It's honestly been so comforting knowing how cared for and happy our children have been there. They have flourished and made amazing connections with teachers and friend groups. We have only great things to say about all teachers involved in their care and we can't thank you enough for the amazing start you have given them both in their early years at your centre. Thank you.”
